.Net Developer, VB.Net, C#.Net

Our client company, located in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for a .Net Developer to add to their team. You can choose it to be either be a contract or contract-to-hire scenario. You would be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during the contract portion.

Summary
You will be a key member of a team who develops custom web and kiosk-based applications for marketing programs. This role is a key member of the team responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining applications built for client programs. You could also be the lead developer on projects requiring multiple developers, allocating workload and deliverables amongst internal and contract development team members.

The ideal candidate for this position would:
Contribute to the project’s success by creating smart, maintainable code.
Implement innovative approaches to daily coding and testing challenges.
Work with the development manager and lead developer to determine priorities.
Work with the project manager to ensure that timelines and deliverables are on-track.
Participate in testing and QA sessions to minimize defects.
Assist with the deployment of applications from development to staging.

Required Technical Skills:
Experience designing and implementing N-Tier applications using .NET frameworks 2.0 and/or 3.5.
Experience designing and implementing applications utilizing VB.NET and/or C#.NET.
Experience with MS SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server Platforms, Windows XP/Vista Platforms.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts and design principles.
Expertise in Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 with integrated source control solutions like VSS or Subversion.
Ability to apply object-oriented design principles to create extensible, maintainable applications.

Preferred Skills that are a definite plus:
Experience creating and consuming web services in .NET.
Experience with .NET 3.5 components such as WCF, WF, WPF, LINQ and ASP.NET MVC.
Experience targeting mobile platforms such as Tablet PCs and Windows Mobile.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Scrum, XP, TDD.
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit or MbUnit.
Experience using ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, NHibernate, SubSonic.
Working knowledge of DI / IOC containers for .NET (StructureMap, Spring.NET, Ninject etc).
Experience with reporting tools (Crystal Reports/SQL Reporting Services).
