Work closely with the Associate Creative Director to ensure delivery of correct, pre: flighted final art files executed per brand guidelines and client graphic standards. This individual will work directly with the Associate Creative Director through development, refinement, and final press production – assisting with the production of complex artwork. Must be highly detail-oriented and have a good eye for print layout and design.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop, design, and create artwork including, but not limited to, catalogs, packaging, in-store signage, advertisements and direct mail in collaboration with the Associate Creative Director.
• Using brand guidelines, create print designs while maintaining consistency of brand communication.
• Concept and define new brand guidelines as necessary.
• Direct, review, and guide refinement of artwork created by Graphic Designers and Junior Graphic Designers.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Graphic Designers and Junior Graphic Designers as necessary.
• Manage production schedules and coordinate with vendors for pre-press and print production.
• Direct retouching and color calibration for all images used in artwork files.
• Adheres to department workflow policy to ensure deadlines are met.
• Troubleshoot & remedy issues with in-house and third party print resources.
• Present and review artwork throughout the production process and provide quality assurance of all deliverables.
• Maintain organized file management system as outlined by department processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• 5-7 years experience designing print medium within an agency or in-house design department.
• Experience in the wholesale/retail fashion industry a plus.
• Expert proficiency in the latest versions of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Mac OS.
• Strong knowledge in print production processes.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Well-developed communication skills including the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale with every level of the organization.
• Able to work well collaboratively with a team of designers, photographers, art directors, production artists, and writers.
• Experience supervising and developing new and existing design talent within a creative team preferred.
• Must work well under tight time constraints, adapting priorities, and challenges to assure timely delivery of projects.
• Self-motivated, organized, accountable, careful attention to detail.
• Demonstrates resolving missing/incomplete information or inconsistencies in project requests.
• Commitment to continuing education and keeping up to date with industry trends and technology.
• Must be able to handle multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and possess excellent time-management skills.

SCOPE OF POSITION:
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusually complex problems or issues. Ability to work extended hours when required.
