Music Editor

**Language: English and Russia fluently and idiomatically**

As a Music Editor, you are a self-starter who will ramp up quickly to contribute to the
Music’s editorial team. You have experience working as a playlist curator, music journalist or
critic, or editor for a digital music service. Additionally, you are well-versed in a wide range of
music genres -- from mainstream to niche -- and have an expert-level understanding of
contemporary popular culture.

You bring strong analytical abilities and impeccable oral and written communication skills. You
possess a high degree of comfort and flexibility when working cross-functionally with product,
design, marketing, engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience. You
enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to develop new ideas and scalable
processes. You bring a proven ability to prioritise, meet critical deadlines, and take on
challenging tasks with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset.
Streaming Lead for EMEA.

• Create, commission and QA playlists
• Maintain the Music’s editorial calendar for Russia
• Data entry for monitoring performance of playlists and campaigns
• Contribute to the improvement of back catalogue selection and metadata quality
• Identify and drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities with internal and external
• Conduct metrics-based analysis of playlist performance and provide recommendations for
enhancing their effectiveness
• Support partner and technical teams to troubleshoot user-facing issues
• Work with Engineering to ensure all titles in programming plans are ordered and ingested.
• Participate in regular meetings with content partners, in order to identify editorial opportunities
• Contribute to the global editorial team and its efforts to drive site improvements and
innovative features on behalf of users worldwide

Minimum Requirements
• BA/BSc required. Advanced degree a plus.
• Ability to speak and write in English and French fluently and idiomatically
• Experience in an editorial/merchandising role for a mobile or online digital content business
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the music industry and French culture
• Strong editorial and creative skills -- ability to craft messaging and work with design and
production resources to drive creative execution
• Strong analytical skills; ability to analyse research or performance data and apply that
analysis to optimize our editorial strategy
• Experience working with both external and internal partners on co-promotion or cross-
promotion strategies and campaigns
• Knowledge of and experience with online best practices
• High attention to detail, ability to maintain several different projects simultaneously, while
creating precise and effective customer-facing communications

Preferred Qualifications

• One European language, other than Russian as well as good English
• Experience working for a music streaming service
