Music Social Community Manager

Overall Responsibilities:
As a Community Manager for the client's Music Social team, you will serve as a day-to-day content manager for the newly launched vertical social handles. You will be responsible for helping craft organic and paid growth strategies, and creating formal processes for triaging incoming promo requests for their social channels, as well as music-specific content for their core channels. You will support the lead music social marketing strategists by overseeing daily evergreen (proactive) and ad hoc (reactive) promo, and respond to a high volume of internal social support requests. Additionally, you will help manage external creative agencies with daily execution of social calendars/schedules and prioritization of content.

Top 4 Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Using data to inform decision making with reference to content strategy and triaging promo requests.
  2. Managing a heavy pipeline of ad-hoc music promotional requests: assessing feasibility of support, adhering to deadlines, vetting promo copy, and supplying requesting partners with packaged support.
  3. Maintaining strict internal social request processes: tracking all promo requests, determining proper use of social inventory numbers, and responding positively or negatively to requests with proper merit.
  4. Providing constructive, valuable, and actionable feedback to external creative agencies with social content and copy [and conversely, providing similar style feedback to internal marketing leads on agency performance and their creative input into our social content] 


Additional Responsibilities:
Supporting marketing strategy leads in their roles and providing general daily support to high-level artist marketing efforts, social launch campaigns, and creative and analytical agency management.
Liaise with internal brand marketing teams and leads to ensure the social voice remains in line with overall brand guidelines and tone.
Support launch and proper social execution of a “Community Tab” on site
Remaining up to date on all relevant social media trends and as current as possible regarding the ever-changing social landscape, app functions

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field(s) of study. (Communications; Community Management; Marketing; etc.)
3+ years of relevant experience working in (social) media and/or marketing, or strategy consulting, preferably in the music/entertainment or tech sectors.
High-level understanding of social media and music: Has a natural affinity for current social media trends, and recognizes the ever-evolving social landscape especially with regard to music, artists, and the entertainment and tech industries.
Good understanding of using Pivot Tables and VLookups in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:
Proactive, independent worker: candidate works well with minimal guidance from above and is regularly willing
Vendor & Agency management: Knows how to get the best out of vendors/agencies, organize efficiently, and prioritize action items and deadlines.
