Music Merchandising Assistant, EMEA

As a Music Merchandising Assistant in EMEA, you are a self-starter who will ramp up quickly to contribute to the merchandising program on handsets, web and tablets for both the online store and the streaming service.

Based on your experience in digital content, you will coordinate and launch effective online features and promotions. You bring strong sharp analytical abilities, retail instincts and impeccable oral and written communication skills. You possess a high degree of comfort and flexibility when working cross-functionally with product, design, marketing, engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to develop new content features and scalable merchandising processes. You bring a proven ability to prioritize, meet critical deadlines, and take on challenging tasks with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset. This is a full-time contractor position based in London, and reporting to the Music Merchandising Lead for EMEA.

Responsibilities
• Maintain music merchandising calendar for EMEA
• Data entry for monitoring campaign performance
• Contribute to the improvement of back catalogue selection and metadata quality
• Create and commission playlists, working with freelancers to create localised content
• Coordinate with internal and external partnerships teams to develop and launch effective store content and promotions
• Identify and drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities with internal and external partners
• Conduct metrics-based analyses of merchandising campaigns and provide recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness
• Support partner and technical teams to troubleshoot customer-facing issues
• Manage pricing for campaigns and offers
• Work with Engineering to ensure all titles in programming plans are ordered and ingested.
• Participate in regular meetings with content partners, in order to identify promotional opportunities
• Maintain excellent partner metadata, curation and hygiene
• Contribute to Google’s global merchandising team and its efforts to drive site improvements and innovative features on behalf of users worldwide
