Multinational Account Manager

Manager is seeking a Multinational Account Manager to join the team. Reporting to Multinational Account Management Lead, the Account Manager (AM) partners with Sales and Support staff to manage key accounts and campaigns currently advertising with our Client.
Given the Multinational aspect, these key accounts are highly complex and high touch operating campaigns across up to 64 markets in three international regions (EMEA, APAC and the Americas). The AM undertakes the management of campaigns; is responsible for developing and executing the customer’s order and ensuring that campaigns are fulfilled in line with the customer’s requirements and expectations. The AM and AE work as a team to develop sales within the account and to identify new business opportunities for Advertising products.

Campaign Optimisation is the key skill required for this role. Candidates should also be confident in dealing with data as well being strong enough to deal with difficult conversations with numerous stakeholders.
The successful candidate would ideally have an understanding of Online Advertising and understand the flow of an Ad agency/Ad Business. They would be engaging with local markets on campaigns so will need to have good stakeholder management. They would also need to have strong analytical skills and be comfortable with numbers as some data analysis would be a key part of this role. They must also have exceptional organisational skills. Finally they would have good project management skills as they would be liaising with internal and external stakeholders for assets.

The candidate must be business savvy, mature, accountable and driven. They must be open about their work as the team is very much a collaborative and tight-knit unit. The team environment as a result is very open and honest. They also ensure that work loads are evenly shared so that no one is swamped – this further ensures transparency throughout.
The background of the successful candidate would include campaign management/social platform knowledge/Digital Agency. Agency experience as well as experience from a competitor such as Amazon or Yahoo would be very useful.

Key Accountabilities
Campaign Management
• Manage highly complex campaigns for key media agencies and clients. Campaigns will generally run across 5 to 20 markets globally covering multiple time zones, languages and cultures
• Understand digital product offering and technical requirements across 20 markets plus.
• Project manage multi-device campaigns that can include homepage takeovers, editorial, Mobile, etc.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver sterling campaign launch and collaboration.
• Support technical aspects of campaign launches to build customer confidence and increase the likelihood of re-purchase
• Make informed decisions towards clients campaign’s objectives on Brand and Audience
• Troubleshoot and problem solve as required
• Proactively interact with internal partners to address technical issues, monitor the campaign and generate the necessary reports and recommendations
• Work very closely with the TOM’s to ensure all creative is tested and live on time
• Proactively optimize campaign to ensure highest return on investment
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of delivery and pacing and investigate and resolve delivery / performance issues.
• Conduct mid and end of campaign analysis, making recommendations to the agency for optimization and future campaigns. Report progress against client goals keeping the customer and AE informed of the status.
• Problem solving and troubleshot
• Enforce local standard policies and procedures (business rules) to maintain quality standards and improve customer satisfaction.

Customer Management
• Manage the day-to-day running of the account; communicating on an on-going basis especially around potential issues
• Build solid relationships within the agency and act as point person for customer issues and concerns; it includes managing high profile direct clients’ relationships at a variety of levels within the customer organization and internally
• Develop knowledge, expertise and insights into the customers’ businesses and key industries.
• Drive up-/ cross-sell into target accounts and identify and realize additional revenue opportunities

Collaboration with Account Executive and Local Markets
• Work with multiple Multinational AE’s in developing business within the account identifying opportunities to up-sell and grow the business
• Develop and maintain relationship with internationally based Advertising AM’s and AE’s and other relevant parties ensuring they are aware of and responding to particular multinational campaign requirements
• Collaborate with AE’s and Sale Planners on media plan preparation for client/agency meetings and participation where appropriate for assigned account(s)
• Contribute to generating additional advertising solutions for Advertising platform

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential Experience
• Strong proven international Account Management/Client Services experience in the online environment. Agency experience is desirable.
• Dealing with internationally based clients running campaigns across multiple markets / time zones and languages
• Proven project management skills
• Online experience

Technical / Functional Skills
• High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
• In depth knowledge of the on-line advertising industry
• Specialized industry, customer and campaign knowledge
• Campaign analysis
