Multimedia Producer

The Multi Media Producer will develop, manage and edit photographic and motion picture soundtracks, film, and video for the use in promoting, learning, explaining and selling, services and programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
-Apply story development, directing, cinematography and editing to create storyboards to show the flow of the video and map out key scenes.
-Organize and string together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts.
-Review assembled films or edited videotapes on screens or monitors to determine if corrections are necessary.
-Trim film segments to specified lengths, and reassemble segments in sequences that present stories with maximum effect.
-Determine the specific audio and visual effects and music necessary to complete films.
-Set up and operate cameras, optical printers, and related equipment to produce photographs and video.
-Set up and operate computer editing systems, electronic tilting systems, video switching equipment, and digital video effects units to produce a final product.
-Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running story.
-Edit films and videotapes to insert music, dialogue, and sound effects, to arrange films into sequences, and to correct errors, using editing equipment.
-Cut shot sequences to different angles at specific points in scenes, making each individual cut as fluid and seamless as possible.
-Mark frames where a particular shot or piece of sound is to begin or end.
-Create photographs and/or video for briefings, brochures, multimedia presentations, web pages, promotional products, and technical illustrations.
Education & Experience:
-Relevant vocational school certification or associates degree required.
-Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Communications or other relevant course of study preferred.
-Previous related on the job experience required. Preferably beauty industry or fashion industry.
-Communications and Media- knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
-Computers and Electronics- Knowledge of electronic equipment related to editing and manipulating video, photography, and other digital art.
-Fine Arts- Knowledge of the theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and perform works of music, dance, visual arts, drama, and sculpture.
-Administrative and Management- knowledge of business and management principles.
