Multimedia Producer

The Security division of our enterprise technology solutions client is seeking a Multimedia Producer in either their Aliso Viejo or Santa Clara office.

The Multimedia Producer manages the planning, production, post-production and distribution of multimedia projects.
• Will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, assist with concept and script development, when required, and be hands-on with various project deliverables and tasks (studio prep and lighting, basic audio and video production tasks, video editing and some motion graphics).
• Must be extremely detail oriented and be able to work on several concurrent projects, while ensuring projects are completed on schedule and produced in alignment with overall video strategy and branding standards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive the planning and deployment of multimedia projects.
• Work in a consultative fashion with business stakeholders to develop effective multimedia strategies and tactics within established brand guidelines.
• Bring marketing strategies to life through the development of concepts and scripts.
• Handle multimedia projects from end-to-end with comprehensive production and post-production work, including video editing and some motion graphics work, and travel to locations where video shoots are taking place.
• Work within defined budgets to produce the highest quality deliverables.
• Hire and manage necessary contract resources for production and post-production when appropriate.
• Deploy content to online video distribution channels and curate channels.
• Act as a steward and advocate of the brand to ensure all creative materials adhere to standards and are consistent and appropriate.
• Operate in a repeatable, rational fashion within established departmental workflows and carefully monitor all projects to ensure quality and consistency.
• Educate leadership and other stakeholders about video production specs, guidelines and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent to a 4-year education with an emphasis in communications, film, broadcast journalism, interactive/digital media or related field.

Experience:
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years production experience in a media company, commercial editing facility, advertising agency, corporate creative group or similar creative environment, and be able to provide samples of work.

Project Management:
• Must be an experienced project manager with a demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver multiple concurrent projects on time and within budget.
• Must be able to analyze project requirements, track project development, and creatively solve problems.
• Must be able to properly staff and execute multimedia projects with the required industry tradespeople.
• Experience in project management tools a plus.

Technical Knowledge:
• Must have a basic understanding of video and audio production techniques, including concept and script development, lighting, and camera operation.
• Must be skilled in Adobe Creative suite, especially proficient in video editing programs such as Premiere and After Effects.
• Must have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of how to develop and execute multimedia content, including all production phases.
• Must have a working knowledge of online video distribution methods, including online video platforms standard file formats.

Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
• Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.
• Requires ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Requires ability to bridge the gap between business and technology issues with management and technologists.
• Requires background in creative brainstorming.
• Requires ability to work collaboratively, cooperatively and cheerfully at all organizational levels, earning the respect of their supervisors and peers.

Other Requirements:
• Ability to travel up to 10% of work time.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.
• Anticipates and prevents potential problems.
• Independently develops solutions that are thorough, practical, and consistent with functional or customer objectives
• Ability to oversee work of vendors
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience in html editing tools is preferred.
