Our pharmacutical client is looking for a Multimedia Developer to work onsite for a long term contract position in Northern Illinois.

• The Multimedia Developer, as part of Business Services Group (BSG) Account/Creative Services, a multidisciplinary production team, assists internal clientele in developing and producing marketing and business communications for delivery as electronic, interactive presentations utilizing a variety of Multimedia/Digital Design tools.
• The Multimedia Developer oversees the development of, and determines strategic direction in the delivery of visual elements created by the Creative Services team.
• The Multimedia Developer creates functional content that combines text, sound, graphics, digital photography, 2D/3D graphics, animation and video.
• Create and launch various products that combine print, video, and audio elements to enable users to interact via computer hardware and/or mobile devices.
• Act as a liaison to functional clients and key contacts within the Client’s IT and marketing organizations.
• The Multimedia Developer must have a well-balanced skill set that leverages both creative design and practical problem solving.
• The ability to create visually impactful work, within Brand guidelines (when applicable) as well as work collaboratively with the Creative Services and Account Team to identify the appropriate tool or platform, based on project scope, timeline and budget limitations.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Functional Policies and Procedures.
• Develop and troubleshoot multiple simultaneous projects. Output mediums include video, streaming video, web pages, computer-based training and animation with deployment of content to Internet, Intranet, touch-screen display, hard disc/external drives and large format projection.
• Maintain expertise with rapidly changing technologies on Macintosh and PC platforms.
• Toolset should include:
o Proficiency in Web Development, including HTML5 coding and development
o Working knowledge within a variety of CMS platforms, such as SharePoint, Bootstrap or similar
o Working knowledge of Digital Learning platforms, such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey,
o Working knowledge of email marketing platforms, such as Maestro, or similar
o Working knowledge of video streaming and VOD platforms, such as BrightCove, MediaPlatform or similar
o Proficiency using a wide variety of Adobe products, including PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Premier, After Effects, Audition and MediaEncoder
o Proficiency using Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Producer
o Proficiency using Apple products, including Final Cut Pro, iMovie, QuickTime and Keynote
• Maintain and expand expertise in computer systems, software, industry-specific technological advancements, and trends in digital, mobile, wearable and touchscreen platforms to maximize value to the organization and individual marketability.
• Assist in promoting BSG services through commitment to customer satisfaction and adherence to branding and IT standards, deadlines and budgetary goals.
• Provide technological solutions and a resulting workflow for client projects by defining user requirements, and identifying media options for deliverables.
• Ensure proper equipment and human resource allocation on projects managed by the Business Development Team.
• Anticipate workload issues and alert the Resource Center of the need to identify outside partners.
• As multimedia subject matter expert for BSG, balance billable and non-billable responsibilities, doing whatever it takes to deliver timely, quality product at a competitive price. Maintain project files and provide estimates for potential Multimedia projects. Track actual time against estimate throughout the project lifecycle.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
• The Multimedia Developer may have 3-5 people reporting by project.

Position Accountability/Scope
• The department provides many services offered by advertising agencies, design, and production studios to promote and develop the products and services
• Internal hourly rates must remain competitive with those of external resources.
• The Multimedia Developer produces materials that often present client’s customers with their first impressions of client’s products and services. Those materials assist sales and marketing representatives in making feature comparison or convey product knowledge that may directly impact the overall sales of those products.
• The Multimedia Developer is often held responsible by clientele for the success of projects within expected time frames and within budget goals.
• He/she is also responsible for either advising the Project Manager of any obstacles that may prevent timely completion or if additional specifications have emerged that require a scope change for the project.
• Limits include adhering to corporate IT standards and consulting with Creative Directors, Business Development staff or the Department Manager for final decisions on problems on projects or with clients.
• The Multimedia Developer reports directly to the department Manager, and is accountable through the normal functional reporting structure.
