Multimedia Designer

Support the acquisition and retention of customers by applying critical thinking skills to develop multimedia concepts, and multimedia and graphic design, supporting visual brand development for our affiliated companies to meet the business needs in areas such as integrated audio, animation, live action and graphics, marketing, sales, branding, research, corporate communications, advertising, eCommerce, print, events and strategic development. Extends concepts under the design direction of team leadership to produce finalized multimedia products as necessary.

Responsibilities:
1. Visually communicate, concept, design and produce market-driven multimedia and graphic design communication solutions that support corporate strategic objectives. Collaborative contributor to development of brand standards.
2. Generate concepts, create layouts and produce comps for multimedia and graphic design marketing materials, maintaining brand integrity and ensuring brand continuity for affiliated companies.
3. Design and manage multiple complex multimedia and graphic design projects from concept through completion.
4. Support team members as needed, by extending conceptual direction through creative multimedia and graphic design execution.
5. Review work to ensure brand integrity.
6. Participate in client meetings to evaluate and understand the project and business needs.
7. Participate and assist in video shoots to ensure quality and brand integrity to meet business requirements.
8. Present work to clients from first proof to final multimedia and graphic design.
9. Power user of the corporate document management database for researching, tracking and cataloging forms and marketing materials.
10. Provide consultative services to users and key business stakeholders regarding business and technical questions related to multimedia and graphic design usability, content, layout, design, software and hardware.
11. Contributor of standards for company style guides and multimedia and graphic design under the guidance of Manager of Visual Design.
12. Consult and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
13. Review vendor work for color, accuracy, proofreading and proper translation of deliverables.
14. Attend multimedia equipment checks to ensure quality and brand integrity.
15. Complete assignments on time, on strategy and on budget.

Skills needed: Video, Animation, HTML, Video Editing, Video art direction for outsourced projects, skinning of web pages and providing animations/video for websites.
Qualifications:
1. AA degree from an accredited arts institution in multimedia or graphic design or related field or equivalent work experience. BA degree in multimedia or graphic design or related field preferred.
2. Minimum five years of experience in multimedia and graphic design at an advertising/communications agency or corporate in-house creative services company.
3. Proven talent to design and produce high quality animation/motion graphics, print and online collateral and marketing communications materials.
4. Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive and print communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices.
5. Proficient application of design principles, with highly-developed composition and typographic skills.
6. Outstanding collaborative and consultative communication skills with both internal and external teams and clients.
7. Ability to multitask effectively as well as work both independently and as a team member in a fast paced environment.
8. Proficiency in Mac-based industry standard multimedia and design software. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web design preferred.

Additional Qualifications Preferred
1. Healthcare industry experience.
2. Member of American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA).
