Multimedia Design Associate

We are looking for a Multimedia Designer for our financial services client in Downtown Chicago - This is a wonderful temp-perm position for someone experienced in both print & digital design. The Graphic Designer is part of the energetic and experienced Corporate Marketing department, which is responsible for developing communication materials, sales tools, and promotional campaigns. This individual will work with members of the design team to create interesting and progressive designs within the context of corporate brand standards, and industry requirements. Focus will be primarily on digital design, working collaboratively with the internal e-marketing partners.

Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and effective design resources, while respecting brand standards and utilizing templates.
- Create design elements for digital communications pieces - including presentations, emails, banner ads, landing pages and micro sites to be used on the web, email, mobile and iPad devices.
- Record and edit videos for use on YouTube and corporate websites.
- Collaborate with design team to generate creative approaches, and fresh ideas.
- Assist with print projects as needed.
- Meet with internal clients; establish project objectives, requirements, and timelines for each design assignment.
- Ensure that all constituents are kept current regarding project progress and schedules.
- Gather feedback and submit projects for review to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with the Development team or Production Manager to prepare files for distribution.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date project logs to assist with traffic flow.

- 3-5 years previous experience in graphic design (both web and print work) required
- An understanding of the principles of client centric design, Information Architecture and UI best practices.
- Experience designing for high traffic web sites and user interfaces.
- Demonstrated passion for staying abreast of the latest digital trends.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and Dreamweaver), experience with video editing, and understanding of HTML, Browser compatibility, CSS, XML, etc.
- Familiarity with CMS and technical coding experience with HTML, CSS and web 2.0 are a plus.
- Must be a great communicator with excellent written communication skills. Additionally, this talent must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects at a time, and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work are non-negotiable.
