Motion Graphics Producer

Throughout the year, we see several clients in need of Motion Graphics Producers for freelance and long-term assignments. We'd love to be able to consider you!

The Senior Motion Graphics Producer is responsible for producing both animated and live action content and is accountable for the quality of motion graphics and/or video and the on-time delivery of projects in production. Projects may include, but are not limited to: educational, sales, promotional, product advertising, internal brand communication and executive leadership videos and/or motion graphics.

Essential Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, plan, storyboard, design and produce video concepts based on varying degrees of creative direction
Produce, direct and lead set up of lighting, camera, audio equipment and on-camera scene/set for field shoots.
Film interviews, events and b-roll in single camera or multi-camera configurations
Pitch ideas and help develop new visual stories and formats
Work collaboratively with copy/script writers, account managers, art directors and other members of the team to deliver best-in-class video/motion graphics projects
As assigned, oversee the work of contractors and/or junior members of the video team by critiquing work, providing constructive feedback and aiding in skill development as needed while also managing productivity
Provide direction to cameramen, animators, producers and editors on assigned projects
Represent the video/motion graphics discipline in accurately estimating effort on new projects
Balance creative desires within project scope and delivery dates
Understand strategic marketing and campaign initiatives
Manage work on assigned projects within budget and deliver on time
Participate in sourcing new talent under direction of Creative Director
Research and introduce software to establish and refine an efficient production pipeline
Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming conventions and organization of graphic files and archiving
Present work to internal and external clients as well as executive leadership when necessary
Provide creative thought leadership and contribute to developing a video “center of excellence”
Research and continuously evaluate industry trends and contribute thought leadership to streamline and improve our video department

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 12 years of work experience in visual design, animation, or video production
A minimum of 8 years professional experience in the field of design, animation, and video production

Desired Characteristics:
Comprehensive understanding of pre-production through post-production process and a discriminating eye/ear for video/audio quality
Strong artistic vision with ability to conceptualize, design, animate, edit and direct
Highly strategic and efficient
Must be highly motivated with strong time-management and organizational skills and able to work well alone and as part of a team
Ability to multitask within a deadline-driven environment while maintaining productivity under pressure
Excellent problem-solving and adaptability
Experience working with outside vendors and contractors
Strong listening and presentation skills with the ability to take feedback constructively
Fluency with animation and video editing software Adobe Creative Cloud: After Effects, Flash, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Experience with Toon Boom Storyboard Pro is a plus
3D modeling, animating, or rendering experience is a plus (Autodesk Maya preferred)
Audio recording or mixing experience is a plus (Adobe Audition preferred)
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
If currently a Synchrony Financial Employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 6 months (AP) or 24 months (level 8 or greater), have at least a "consistently meets expectations" performance rating and have the approval of your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR to apply if you don't meet the time-in-job or performance requirement
