Motion Graphics Designer

Location: Located in the leafy Hertfordshire countryside. This role will suit applicants living in the North London, Herts & Bucks area. Own transport is essential due to location.
Salary: £24-£35k per annum
Hours of work: 9am - 6pm Mon - Thu, 9am - 5pm Friday (although some flexibility is sometimes required)
Reports into: Account Director

A current team of 24 work across their equal disciplines of marketing (branding, promotion and design) and technology (hardware, software, R&D).

The Role:
You will be expected to hit the ground running as we are looking for candidates who are confident in motion graphic design. We're looking for a friendly colleague to join our existing design team. Ideally the candidate will possess strong presentation skills - with the ability to present work in a confident, appealing and professional manner. The candidate must be able to deliver and work to schedules and deadlines, be familiar with studio practices and efficient creative workflow.

Projects range from online branding videos to digital in-store and on-screen marketing promotions for a wide range of clients. This includes the creation of 3D graphics, compositing, and design of bespoke user interfaces.

Creative Design Skills/Competencies Required:
• Motion Graphic Design qualification with at least 2 years experience
• Strong After Effects skills
• Working knowledge of plugins (Trapcode, Optical Flares and Element 3D)
• Strong Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Good Cinema 4D skills
• Basic Editing skills (Premiere Pro)
• Good understanding of video formats
• Good experience in PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good organisational skills and competent in time management
• Show initiative

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Ability to positively contribute to creative concept development
• Understanding of current design and social trends

For those that we invite to interview, we will expect applicants to come prepared with a concise showreel, which is organised and ready to view. It should display good motion graphic skills, typographical design, good timing/pace and fluidity. An appreciation for composition and layout as well as storyboard techniques.
