Motion Graphics Designer

Our client, a major television network is hiring a Motion Graphics Designer.

Responsibilities:
The Motion Designer will report to the Art Director as a member of the motion design team and work alongside Live team designers and Brand designers. The candidate will be responsible for brainstorming creative concepts with the project team, creating original motion graphics for on-air promotions, long form original content, sizzles, product demos, editing live-action footage for branded content, working with producers to develop design concepts, participating in motion design presentations to clients, assisting in video shoots and optimizing videos for proper client viewing.

The Motion Designer is responsible for execution of projects/creative on-air products as assigned. Additional responsibilities include quality assurance of finished products, communication and collaboration with internal partners and creative team, project presentations, and budget management for selected projects. Other responsibilities may also include leading groups or teams and facilitation of meetings.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ability to create quality ideas and execution through collaboration with integrated teams is essential. Participation in the concept development and design ideation for projects is a large part of the team interactions used throughout the creative process. The perfect candidate will have the ability to interpret verbal direction into visual beauty and adapt to different design styles while adhering to various brand guidelines. You should be able to generate multiple distinct compositions while working within project schedules and deadlines and successfully interpreting the client's needs.
·Creation of new and strategically important projects and initiatives, incorporating new and innovative concepts and design techniques.
·Design and execution of projects in accordance with creative briefs and criteria for product development while interacting with Creative Leaders and partners.
·Implement solutions with a high level of proficiency and artistry that require little redirection.
·Presentation of projects to design leaders and internal partners, utilization of feedback in order to make appropriate revisions.
·Consistently provide multiple solutions, strategically aligned with the brand, with flawless execution of the creative execution.
·Develop and implement products and document processes and unique knowledge.
·Consistently model fundamentals of exceptional customer service.
·Manage multiple projects and project budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS
You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, a vivid imagination and excellent communication skills.
You should understand brand-marketing objectives and proactively contribute to the evolution and success of the business by
creatively bringing to life conceptual ideas using timeline-based programs. Working collaboratively and managing a growing
motion design team will also be imperative.

SKILLS
·Exceptional knowledge of Macintosh hardware utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects. Knowledge of additional
advanced hardware and software packages as specified by departmental/company initiatives.
·A strong background in timeline based animation programs and motion design is required. Design and/or illustration
experience and appreciation for the development of creative concepts is essential.
·Expert understanding and proven ability to apply fundamental design principles (composition, typography, color theory)
.Experience in concepting, story boarding and bringing ideas to life is the proof of your talent.
·Expert understanding of design hierarchy, emphasis of different elements, and aligning objectives to design while effectively
communicating the desired message.
·Demonstrates exceptional creative problem solving skills and unique resourcefulness in order to complete tasks.
·Expert understanding of network broadcast standards.
·Proven ability to objectively and consistently communicate design rationale in relation to brand and creative brief.
·Proven ability to consistently model fundamentals of exceptional customer service. In-depth knowledge of design across
mediums (print, video, web).
·Maya or Cinema 4D experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE
3 to 5 years broadcast design experience with cable, network, local news, ad agency, design firm, production
house or other applicable industry-related experience.MINIMUM
