Motion Graphics Artist

Our fantastic agency client is looking for a motion designer for the month of June. This position is slated to run for at least 1 month and require 40 hours a week onsite at our client's office in downtown.


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Take a project from initial brief to end result with creative vision and lasting effect
• Design concept mood boards, storyboards, animation sketches, and sample animatics
• Design and produce final motion graphics involving typography, illustration, photography, live video and/or 3D animation projects ranging from end tags, bumpers, sizzle videos, info-graphic animations, 30-sec commercials to longer format corporate productions
• Work closely and collaboratively with writers, art directors, producers, editors, project managers, third-party collaborators and clients to deliver high-production projects
• Conceptualize, design, and craft motion graphics solutions for clients
• Be creative within client brand guidelines and budgets
• Serious attention to detail
• Ability to articulate creative ideas in verbal and written communication
• Focused creative thinking while multi-tasking on several assignments and overlapping deadlines
• Reports to the Studio Director


Experience and Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge and skills in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere
• Knowledge of VFX (motion tracking and creating track mattes)
• Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work well with others and as part of a team
• Hand drawing talent and skills a plus
• Familiarity with 3-D animation and software a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in a design related field and 5 or more years’ experience working as a motion designer
• Reel that showcases your talent as a storyteller for recognized clients
