Mobile Interaction Designer

6 month contract on-site at client location.
Pay: Up to $72/hr. DOE

In this role you will be a Mobile UI designer who would work closely with the Search UX team at this top tech company in shaping various mobile search experiences on products which are scheduled to launch by the end of 2016. The project will include the creation of a mobile design system, and development of design guidelines and templates for key screens.

Responsibilities:
Mobile interaction design
Light visual design
Light motion design
Presenting design mocks and respond to stakeholder feedback
Preparation of final pixel-perfect files for handoff to engineering
Preparation of documentation related to new mobile design system.

Minimum Qualifications:
-BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
-3+ years of mobile experience in shipping products geared towards general consumers.
-Strong core interaction design skills; ability to define complex user flows and establish visual hierarchy.
-Proficient verbal, written, and visual communication skills
-Strong collaboration skills with ability to work with mobile engineers both in native and web platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
-Solid product design skills with hands on experience in creating cutting edge, cohesive, and intuitive solutions.
-Collaboration skills that can lead a critical and complex effort in coordination with other UX teams across the company.
-Comfortable with complexity and has an uncanny ability to distill things down to simple, intuitive, and tangible solutions.
-Deep understanding of Android and iOS platforms and experience designing for cross platforms is highly desirable.
-Ability to produce high-quality visual designs and understanding of animation details (and skills) is a plus.
