Known as the "burgundy bible," Zagat Survey is the world's most trusted source for consumer-generated survey information.
With a worldwide network of contributors, Zagat rates and reviews restaurants, hotels, nightlife, shopping and other lifestyle categories and is lauded as the "most up-to-date," "comprehensive" and "reliable" guide ever published on all platforms.

Role:
Zagat launches digital surveys throughout the year to collect user ratings and reviews about local, notable destinations. The Marketing Acquisitions Associate will play a crucial role in the growth of Zagat’s digital, user generated content by acquiring new users to take Zagat surveys through a variety of direct-response marketing channels.

Specifically, you will develop strategic partnerships, negotiate media spends, optimize internal and self-service marketing efforts, produce advertising collateral, and manage to particular campaign budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities:
1) Acquisition marketing
-Design marketing plans to promote Zagat’s digital surveys using multiple acquisition tactics
-Research local markets for aligned partners with digital advertising products
-Negotiate paid spends with each partner, and procure favorable media costs
-Manage relationship with each partner, from ideation to execution and invoicing
-Collaborate with Zagat’s experiential marketing team, local event stakeholders, staffing agencies, etc. to execute in-market events during which users contribute to live digital surveys
-Launch and manage self-service SEM and display advertising promotions
-Develop relationships with local tourism boards and identify promotional opportunities
-Collaborate with internal teams (adserving, editorial, etc.) to promote surveys on zagat.com

2) Budget management
-Allocate each campaign’s budget across partners and tactics for optimal reach and cost efficiency
-Onboard partners into finance system, determine agreement terms, and track invoices and marketing expenses using internal budgeting tools

3) Creative development
-Collaborate with internal creative and programming teams to develop promotional assets for each marketing campaign
-Provide specs for each specific promotion, including copy, imagery, calls to action and layout

4) Campaign reporting
-Produce marketing campaign recaps that summarize KPI’s and learnings for management
-Track live promotions against campaign goals and make recommendations for increased marketing spends
-Use internal reporting tools to produce custom tracking for every marketing effort

Requirements
-Strategic thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills
-Marketing background; direct response background a plus
-Experience with paid spends and vendor negotiations
-Experience with self-service SEM or display campaigns preferred but not required
-Two to four years of experience
