Mission Designer

Our studio, is looking for a Mission Designer who has a passion to create the world's greatest games. We are looking for an agile and collaborative individual who has a passion for games, and trying new things. This is your chance to join one of the most talented teams in the industry!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Work with the Lead Designer to understand the vision of the product and help support the needs of the Design Team.
-Work across disciplines to ensure the design vision has the support it needs.
-Use internal development tools to verify/develop gameplay objects.
-Participate in creative discussions, offer helpful critique, and provide your own compelling ideas.
-Identify needs and inefficiencies with the engine, tools and overall process to improve quality and iteration of design.
-Develop testing plans for your designs to ensure proper feedback, iteration and polish.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required, AA/BA/BS preferred
- 1+ Years of game development experience with a minimum of 1 shipped titles.
- Great communication skills; comfortable working in a very communicative and passionate team environment.
- An excellent understanding of the building blocks of gameplay.
- Able to explain how they work to others.
- Can identify gameplay problems or areas of potential and provide clear solutions.
- Good foundation knowledge of games.
- A diplomatic and collaborative approach.
- Able to undertake tasks solo or as part of a team.
- The ability to multitask and effectively time manage.
- In depth knowledge of the game industry, current trends and emerging technologies.

Additional preferences:
- Experience with game scripting/authoring tools (e: lua).
- Experience with 3D layout packages such as Maya.
- In depth knowledge of shooter based gameplay.
- In depth knowledge of the game series of titles.
- Candidates are able to show design work via a portfolio or website
