Mission Designer

An Encounter Designer is responsible for creating the gameplay encounters for missions and iterating on the encounter to create fun, interesting and unique gameplay. Responsibilities include level design, enemy placement, encounter scripting, cover placement, working with other designers and artists on a daily basis to iterate on the encounter space in 3D.

Qualifications:
Two years professional experience working as a level designer or level scripter is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design or Computer Science preferred. Experience with Autodesk Maya required. Experience with other DCC applications (3DS Max, XSI) will be considered. Experience working with scripting languages or programming languages such as Kizmit or C++ preferred. Encounter Designers must have strong knowledge of modern game asset development principles and techniques. Encounter Designer must also have a strong sense of level design and space. Thorough understanding of what makes a fun or interesting encounter is required. Builders should have strong time management and communication skills. Builders must play current games and be able to communicate about them. The ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts required.
