Are you a mid weight designer looking for an opportunity to grow your design career in an entrepreneurial integrated marketing agency? Our client is a small, fast paced agency with an enviable client list of consumer brands and they are looking for an experienced designer to join the creative director and Marketing strategy director to help them execute a broad range of on and off line projects. These could vary from Print/direct mail campaigns through to banners and email projects.
They are based in a riverside creative hub easily accessible from East and South East London, there is also FREE parking and plenty of cycle racks.
They pride themselves on their ability to work a high volume workload at speed whilst still applying strong attention to detail and good design discipline.
As the successful Designer you will be to interpret and implement the creative vision across a broad range of projects ranging from digital, social and print. As the ideal candidate you'll have a strong, tactical/marketing/campaign led design background and have a great understanding of good information design. A dynamic, thorough and enquiring approach will be required as you will be called on to be involved in (and balance the needs of) a wide range of projects and executions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Design for a broad range of projects including print communication, emails, display banners, websites.
Create digital design and assets for use on website and social media platforms.
Maintain the high visual standard the Creative director sets
Create presentations and mock-ups to showcase ideas/executions for approval.
Bring fresh ideas and approaches by combining cultural awareness with an enquiring mind.
Excellent eye and in depth understanding of UI and UX.
Experience in interpreting marketing briefs, with some strategic thinking/questioning
Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator essential - know these inside out!
Traditional typography and print skills
Excellent communication skills
Think quick on your feet and make decisions under pressure
Ability to estimate the amount of time a piece of work is likely to take
Desirable/willing to learn
Knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut, Flash, Dreamweaver, InVision, HTML5 & CSS3 an asset but not essential
Email marketing - be a bonus if you can code your own work too but not a deal breaker
Knowledge about the best practices for artworking
Some client facing communication and ability to present/assist in client meetings an asset but not essential
Personal Profile: Proactive, positive mindset, enjoys working on self initiated creative projects
LOCATION: This role is based in a Riverside Creative Hub with studios and workshops of other creative/design businesses as well as onsite gallery and cafe. They are in South East London but their position means it is easily accessible from East London, mainline rail stations, as well as tube and DLR. There is also FREE parking on site as well as cycle racks.
