My client is the world’s largest online platform for booking affordable travel accommodation for select locations all around the world, renowned for being the go to platform for a largely youthful demographic. They are currently on the lookout for a self-shooting Midweight Video Editor to join their creative team and take the brand’s creative output to the next level.

Reporting into the Brand Lead and working very closely with the brand and marketing team, you’ll be responsible for developing and pushing the company’s video strategy, coming up with brilliant ways to edit self-shot or pre-shot content and bring it to life whilst keeping it on brand. The creative tasks will be varied; ranging from hands on filming, editing and animation to more theoretical tasks like planning, conceptualization and distribution.

On a day to day basis, you’ll be collaborating with both internal team members and external agencies to drive brilliant campaign/content ideas largely for digital and online platforms, creating great content for channels such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, as well as Display and Banner Ads but most importantly, keeping the brand in mind throughout the process.

Although this role will be largely self-shooting and Video Editing orientated, it would be particularly useful that you have an understanding and appreciation of Motion Graphics as you will need to use AfterEffects from time to time in order to sometimes create assets or make edits that little bit more slick and exciting.

Must haves

  • 3-4 years of strong video editing experience either in-house or agency with self- shooting capabilities
  • Knowledge of blending Sound into video (post and pre production)
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
  • Strong Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro
  • A positive, enthusiastic conceptual mind
  • A strong stylistic video editing showreel with good brand background
