Midlevel UX Designer

Our client, a start-up born from MIT in Cambridge, is looking for a mid level UX Designer to join their team of 30! This is a temp to perm position, sits onsite in Cambridge, and starts as soon as the right candidate is found!

Aesthetic / design style should be minimalistic, clean, simplistic and flat layout, and beautiful iconography.

This person would take a lot of responsibility for the product, user studies, user cases, and low fidelity wireframes. The client uses Sketch and Envision for wireframing, but they're open to candidates who use other programs as well.

Responsibilities
● Translate user requirements into simple and intuitive workflows
● Create wireframes and information architectures
● Facilitate design sessions to develop and refine product features

Job Requirements
● Articulate use cases for UI development
● Develop interactions that simplify large data sets through actionable data visualizations
● High level of project organization, attention to detail and time management
● Ability to translate sophisticated technology into non-technical consumer product designs
● Desire and ability to communicate closely with engineering about both qualitative and quantitative concepts in data science
● A desire and ability to apply scientifically proven UX guidelines and conventions to enterprise software
● Good communication skills and a sense of humor

Qualifications
● 2+ years experience, ideally in the start-up consumer domain
● A strong UX portfolio showing creativity and working with a highly technical team of engineers
● Studies in HCI, human factors, psychology
● Proficient in vector based applications for prototyping wireframes
● Well versed in user centered design methods and usability best practices
