Mid-level Technical Writer w/Financial experience

Our top payment technology company is seeking a Technical Writer join their financial services organization.

MUST HAVE WRITING SAMPLES or business related writing

Position Summary:
Position will be responsible for the development and revisions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a financial services global organization. The position will collaborate with the appropriate business units to ensure the content of documents meet the needs of the end user and conform to quality control and best practice standards.

A successful candidate will have financial services or like business experience, possess strong writing skills, and the ability to analyze existing workflows, processes, and procedures to produce a final SOP document.

Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years technical writing experience
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels to ensure all required information is incorporated into SOP documents

Technical Qualifications:
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Outlook
• Ability to quickly interpret existing workflows and process documentation in order to translate into high quality SOP templates

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the financial services industry
• Prior experience creating and/or revising procedures or business requirement documents
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma

Assignment:

Day to Day:
• Read, analyze and interpret general business documents such as workflow and existing procedures
• Create and/or revise materials, seeking ways to improve content, while conforming to standardized templates
• Present work product, as appropriate, to business partners and incorporate feedback as needed
• Prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently to meet deadlines
