Mid-level Copywriter, Interactive and Promotions

Our Fortune 500 retail client with their e-commerce team in the Loop is seeking a great Mid-Level Interactive and Promotions Copywriter!

Responsibilities:
• Willing to work with and understand the strategic differences between promotional copy and brand voice.
• Outstanding written communication skills
• Writes accurate and succinct copy
• Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback and adapt
• Motivated, proactive, self-starter with positive attitude and ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and directions
• Ability to juggle competing priorities and keep track of the details
• Experience and comfort with technology (HTML experience a plus)
• Ensures that mandatories and legal verbiage are used appropriately
• Edits and proofreads his or her own copy as well as other communications pieces
• Willing to work with and understand the strategic differences between promotional copy and brand voice
• MUST HAVE digital experience and preferably e-commerce experience.
• Exceptionally organized
• Super detail oriented
• Create concepts and copy for the eHealth Marketing & Fulfillment workstreams,
including online promotional materials, emails, functional copy (ie. instructions, alerts, tooltips, etc).
• Must have understanding of SEO best practices, familiarity with creating urls and metadata.
• Understand the “big picture” nature and objectives of every project beyond the headline.
• Balance the creation of copy while maintaining the brand voice at all times for all deliverables.
• Write persuasive short and long-form copy.
• Communicate, adapt, and work well within creative and business departments to make sure projects are completed successfully and on-time.
• Create easy-to-navigate copy documents so development team can create and implement new web pages.

Writes copy for:
• Product detail descriptions
• Experience with SEO, META TAGs
• Helps lead the concept for every weekly main campaign and category campaigns
• Meets with the merchants to help plan upcoming sales
• Promotional emails and landing pages
• Promotional microsites (holiday, seasonal, back-to-school, etc)
• Banner ads
• Social media posts
• Must have capacity to handle high volume.
