Mid-Sr. UX Visual Designers

Our interactive design agency client seeks strong UX Visual Designers to join their team on a long-term (contract to hire, if there is a mutual fit) basis. The team fosters a work environment that appeals to self-motivated, flexible team players who have great interpersonal skills and lots of curiosity and collaborative work style.

This client values an open collaborative approach and they think it is THE key enabler in to delivering innovative, groundbreaking work. Visual designers work collaboratively as a key part of our UX team to identify specific user/client needs and engage in ideating/evaluating initial concepts. Designers are expected to consider the project from a high level and how it fits in to an overall service, but also consider the fine details of User Interface components, labels, and flows to help users achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
The Visual Designer is responsible for supporting for the conceptual development, direction and delivery of visual design. They possess solid visual design skills with a have a developing sense of graphic, web and screen design, and a good level of understanding of visual solutions for smaller portable screens. They contribute to and own the visual design aspect of projects and pitches and have an appreciation of interaction design.

Top “Slam Dunk” Requirements:
• Strong agency/digital experience with online portfolio.
• Experience providing comprehensive “Service Design” services that considers the individual interaction components in the context of a larger service offering.
• Portfolio/work demonstrates ability to create interaction designs across multiple channels and platforms (including rich websites, web apps, mobile & tablet apps and sites, interactive TV) and to clearly communicate their solutions.
• Create visual deliverables such as rapid paper or digital prototypes, mood boards, storyboards, iconography, photography, illustrations, etc.
• Be a storyteller: A critical element of this role is to deliver insights about people and behavior - verbally and visually - in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the client and design team.
• Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flex, Visio.
• Bachelor degree in a design-related discipline.

Required Technical Skills:
• Strong working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Flex and Visio.
