Mid-Level Market Researcher (Analyst)

This TOP Fortune 500 Company, known for their tax & small business software, and located in San Diego, Ca is seeking a Mid-level Market Researcher to join their team for a 6 month contract (with opportunity to extend). Salary: Up to $40/hr DOE.
Support the UX Researcher team by:
Assist in developing consumer insights/learning plans and metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams and business partners that ladders to overall business initiatives
• Apply deep understanding of marketing principles and consumer behavior to evaluate websites, offerings and end to end user experience to deliver on customer needs & expectations
• Work closely with Sr. Researchers, Marketers and Design teams to assist in planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and conducting qualitative and user research research studies
• Assist the Sr. Researcher in effectively communicating research results and actionable recommendations to project stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner to positively influence offering development
• Be familiarity with qualitative research tools and techniques, including in-depth interviews; user research and remote research tools
• Ability to work flexibly and efficiently, exercising a balance between research rigor and speed

The market research analyst is responsible for supporting all levels of the development, execution, and analysis of consumer research. The market research analyst will work with the Insights team to develop consumer learning plans in support of company’s strategic goals, and conduct and research to understand consumers’ needs, pain points and behaviors to uncover insights and drive future strategies. The individual must possess a unique blend of research, business and technical savvy with the drive, leadership, and “hands-on” ability to make their vision a reality.
• Create, launch and analyze customer insights for business development opportunities, internal analysis and marketing strategy development
• Compile and distribute research in the form of narratives, graphics, data summaries, etc.
• Interface with outside vendors to manage survey/interview fielding and obtain necessary project bids & manage research projects
• Use SPSS to analyze responses and create a reporting plan
• Working with other team members, create reports to summarize research findings
• Be the voice of the consumer inside and outside the organization

Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree; Economics or business related field of study preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of market research experience either on vendor or client side
Have experience or familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research tools and resources
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective listening and critical thinking skills
The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
