Mid-Level Designer

My client, an exciting, growing Advertising Agency has an immediate need for a mid-level multi-media, interactive designer who will be involved in original design work, and will help to craft projects from concept to completion. You. Want. This. Job. You’ll be helping with internal page comping and occasional breakup, and you’ll be responsible for original design and will participate in concept creation for web and mobile.

You will work with Creative Leads and Project Managers to…
• Develop a wide variety of online and multimedia projects;
• Break up and optimize visual assets for final development;
• Create comps based on existing design direction;
• Contribute well-developed ideas during brainstorms and conceptual meetings;
• Generate storyboards that outline animation and/or motion graphics;
• Contribute to Business Development efforts in the form of presentation deck graphics and visual assets.

For mid-level designers, you will also…
• Gain experience in initial concepting and brainstorming;
• Gain experience at creating original homepage comps without established direction;
• Become indoctrinated into video visual effects, 3D or photography workflows and practices;
• Begin to mentor and provide guidance to junior designers.

Qualifications include…
• 3-5 years working in the interactive space or related-field experience that exemplifies a solid understanding of typography and layout;
• Solid skills in Photoshop & Illustrator;
• An understanding of the concept of “clean,” layered files;
• An understand Flash and After Effects applications is recommended, other digital editing software/knowledge a plus;
• Familiarity with Keynote software and presentation deck creation a plus;
• A solid sense of UI design and human/interface interaction;
• Excellent time management and communication skills;
• A passion for design, out-of-the-box ideation and a constant drive to learn;
• Ability to work independently—you will not be micro-managed, but will be expected to seek and give help when needed.
