Mid - Senior Design Consultant

Our client are a huge, global financial brand and consultancy that provide professional services to a wide range of business sectors. They are based in Central London and are looking for a Mid to Senior level Design Consultant to join them on a permanent basis!

The successful candidate will overall be responsible for providing engaging and effective communication design solutions across both print and digital mediums for their clients. On a day-to-day basis, the Design Consultant will take briefs through from concept to final design across emails, statements/ corporate documents, financial forms, general marketing, direct marketing and electronic forms, as well as web assets and mobile applications when required.

In addition to your hands on skills, candidates must have a strong commercial mind, with good prioritisation and planning skills, working in multidisciplinary teams as well as independently and be comfortable building and maintaining relationships with internal employees and external suppliers.

Portfolios should include a mix of print and digital communications design along with any other editorial, web and mobile assets. It would be good to highlight samples of emails and direct mail in particular.

Candidates must have:
- Excellent conceptual and technical design skills for print and digital projects.
- Experience in producing artwork ready files for print or digital.
- Advanced working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite software and Microsoft Office.
- Ideally be comfortable working on both a Mac and Windows machine.
- Experience managing projects, budgets or clients/ accounts directly.
- Knowledge of the best practice communication and engagement tools, particularly in digital and social media.
- Experience liaising with printers and managing the printing process is desirable.

Education and experience:
- Candidates must have a design related degree qualification.
- Experience working in a large corporate environment.

Bonus experience:
- Working in a financial corporate environment specifically.
- Experience producing personalised comms, such as Total Reward statements, pension statements etc.
- Knowledge of XMPie.
- Proof reading skills including grammar, spelling and effective copywriting.
- Having an understanding of UX.
