Merchandising Manager online store

Your role as the Site Merchandiser is to plan and execute locally relevant online site merchandising plans in support of online Store sites in your region. Within the role you are responsible for ensuring sites are regularly refreshed, up to date, and optimized to drive conversion and sales. You will drive sales performance by managing online site experience, and implementing visual merchandising, cross-sells and conversion, aligned to overall product strategy. You will work in partnership with local teams to optimize selling and execution of compelling marketing, offers and product launches.

Key accountabilities:
• Plan merchandising activities
o Maintain a comprehensive plan for visual merchandising
o Align plan to local marketing activities and global initiatives and launches
o Ensure the site is regularly refreshed and engaging for customers
o Manage requests for imagery and content
o Tailor merchandising execution plans locally for new product launches



• Execute merchandising updates and enhancements
o Use the Digital River Global Commerce system to make updates and enhancements to the stores in your region
o Work with regional production teams to merchandise products post-launch and utilize new site features
o Update banners and featured products on homepage, category pages and offers pages
o Maintain cross-sells and up-sells to increase AOV
o Update product detail page content to highlight new product features, offers and information
o Maintain list pages for top selling and new products

• Insights and analysis
o Use a data-driven approach to merchandising for driving sales and customer satisfaction
o Monitor conversion funnel performance through the sites to identify opportunities for improvement
o Review basket data to drive cross-sell execution
o Work with product groups, survey data and customer services feedback to improve product messaging and discoverability
o Share best practices with other Site Merchandisers in region and globally

What you bring to the role:
• An understanding of online merchandising and marketing in your region, both current and emerging, with the ability to translate marketing needs into program execution
• Local language skills and experience of working with non-native languages
• Experience of working in a sales-driven business, preferably in retail
• Experience of working with digital merchandising platforms. Digital River Global Commerce is a benefit
• Strong computer skills, including a basic knowledge of HTML
• Quantitative skills with experience working with web analytics, sales data and analysis
• Experience of working in a global e-commerce web environment
• Self-starter and a proactive problem solver with a drive to achieve results
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Degree or equivalent experience.
