• Interface with Cartwheel Merchants to gather business requirements/requests for analysis and present intermediate and final analytical results.
• Execute ad hoc queries to inform decision making, including key even analysis and user segmentation extracts for merchandising initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc key vendor analysis to reinforce value of vendor financial commitment to Cartwheel. Occasional participation and presentation of vendor-specific data to external vendors.
• Determine best method to gather, model, manipulate and present data.
• Performs statistical analysis to support business needs. Gathers required data and performs data analysis to support business need. Anticipates Cartwheel Merchants’ future and ongoing needs.
• Communicates to share knowledge and findings. Presents results in a manner that business partners can understand, ensuring sound interpretation, appropriate detail and usability.
• Under direction from Lead analyst, grow data mining, movement, and reporting capabilities in an ever changing, product business environment.

• BA/BS Required
• 2-5 years relevant experience (e.g. previous merchandising/analyst/reporting experience)
• Coding ability to write pass-through SQL.
• Experience with SQL for accessing IBM DB2, Oracle & Teradata.
• SAS experience a plus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excel proficiency.
• Strong execution skills, problem solving, communication.
Preferred Skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Web Focus Skills a plus.
• Experience using the ReportCaster scheduling tool.
• Analytical tool experience (Adobe, google analytics, Tableau) skills preferred.
• Retail transaction data experience a plus.
• Predictive analytics experience a plus.
