Membership Marketing Specialist

Our client, a well respected non-profit and the world's largest scientific society has an immediate long term contract for a Membership Marketing Specialist. This contract position would sit in their Washington, DC office.

The Marketing Membership Specialist works with the Membership team to maintain and implement comprehensive and cohesive marketing plans for all society products, services, and activities as well as supporting the distribution of marketing materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain and implement membership marketing strategies for society products, services and programs to grow revenue and reach new customers while cross-selling to existing customers.
* Assist the Manager of Recruitment and Retention researching new markets, coordinating mailings, developing and distributing email broadcasts, coordinating online promotions, as well as budget tracking and reporting.
* Understanding of creative and strategic initiatives in Membership Campaigns and Direct Response marketing and approaches to develop and input test copy to boost response rates.
* Review active acquisition campaigns and provide thoughtful strategic input to improve impact. Includes briefs, some emotional appeal pieces for international campaigns.

Qualifications
* BS in marketing, business, communications or related field preferred along with 3-5 years of nonprofit/association marketing related experience
* Membership marketing experience preferred
* Direct Response marketing experience required
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
