Medical Policy Sr. Web Developer

Our fortune-500 healthcare client (located in the heart of Philadelphia, PA) is looking for a Sr. Web Developer for a 3-6+ month contract. The ideal candidate will have Lotus Notes experience, as well as some experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and assists staff with the development, design, testing and implementation of the databases required to provide approved medical policy and business information to our providers through our internet website and to our associates via the intranet, Lotus Notes or Sharepoint.
• Leads the editing of database views, forms and templates in Lotus Notes, InfoPath, Access and other software applications.
• Responsible for publication of approved content to multiple audiences across various platforms (e.g., Lotus Notes, NaviNet, Iway and internet sites).
• Ensures documents are readable and functioning across multiple platforms (e.g. PCs and, Macintosh computers) and through various software programs (e.g. Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer or other browsers.)
• Maintains online medical policy manual databases and Provider Communications databases for the Family of Companies.
• Conducts and is held accountable for thorough quality checks to ensure content is accurately displayed
• Leads the composing of and editing of instructional materials for publication on the intranet/internet.
• Represents CPN, Provider Communications and the Claim Payment Policy Department at committee and workgroup meetings that pertain to department intranet/internet activities.
• Writes and presents reports on project status, usage statistics and cost analyses.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Information Science or equivalent.
• Previous experience including assistance in the design, development and implementation of large databases.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web-based applications and application development, with the ability to learn new programs..
• Demonstrated knowledge of the health insurance industry.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead web development staff and possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Detail-oriented in all phases of development, from inception to post-implementation.
• Candidate must interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner to produce successful outcomes.
PREFERRED:
• Advanced knowledge of Lotus Notes with the ability to program and develop script preferred.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint, InfoPath and graphic design applications
• Knowledge of HTML programming.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Creative design platform experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
