Media and Community Relations Assistant

One of our premier Energy clients is keeping busy, but they could use a talent to keep them in order. With an increasing workload, they are seeking out a proven Administrative Professional with Media/PR/Communications expertise to help coordinate, organize and drive the administrative functions of their group.

Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
• Execute sponsorship benefits such as sending logo, invoice and publicity instructions
to sponsored organizations
• Enter and track invoices
• Assist with sponsorship activities including tracking benefits, documenting updates and attending events as assigned
• Check partnership websites to ensure proper usage of logo, corporate name and
website links
• Work with administrative staff to arrange conference calls, video conferences and
courier services
• Upload event photos to SharePoint and help maintain media library
• Assist with arrangements for Homework Center event activities
• Work with approved vendors to arrange branded products
• Assist with department mailing and filing needs
• Work with web team to update community activities
• Work with creative team to produce sponsorship ads, inserts, flyers and related
• Track and report (social) media coverage
• Assist with social media activities as assigned
• Monitor and document competitors’ promotional offers and social media activities

• Must have strong oral, verbal, and written skills; must be able to communicate orally, in person and by phone; must have strong problem solving abilities, must have a strong knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); must be able to communicate complex information to all levels of the organization in easy to understand terms; must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment; must have project management skills; must have time management and organizational skills; must have basic traditional and social mediaand

• Minimum 2-5 years of administrative/support experience or related experience.
