Media Sales and Marketing Manager

Our client is looking to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. This high-energy Media expert will be responsible for sale of Media assets to third party advertisers. The function grants access of customers to third party advertisers for their messaging for purposes of brand identification, new product introduction, education. The assets will be sold across a number of platforms: print, digital, out-of-home advertising, among others.

This position has media sales, revenue, and account management and development responsibilities for selected sectors of advertisers, support to indirect sales channels, as well as support of an executive outreach program. The position is responsible for meeting and beating formal sales goals in select sectors. Marketing, media, and sales are required background for the successful candidate. The program requires relationship management to senior executives across Fortune 200 brands and advertising and media agencies, media experience and creativity, strategic campaign design skills, strategic sales understanding and experience, and business development experience. The position must also cultivate successful, complex, business and program management relationships across the enterprise to create and deliver media-backed customer experience programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

Direct Media Sales:
- Create sector and specific brand/agency go-to-market strategy
- Optimize portfolio of direct sales accounts, both Brands and Agencies, and prioritize for sales calls/action
- Cultivate sales relationships with key Brand and Agency buying executives
- Propose and negotiate advertising campaigns to drive customer and portfolio media revenues
- Support creation of executive channel ad sales portfolio

Indirect Sales Support:
- Collaborate with 3rd party ad sales organization by presenting media assets as part of an ad sales opportunity in partnership with the indirect sales organization
- Define campaign elements

Brand/Agency relationships:
- Identify correct set of Brand and Agency relationships that will support Media performance
- Cultivate and maintain portfolio of relationships (typically CMO, Media Buying Director, Brand Managers, etc.)

Education Requirements:
-BA / BS degree required
-An MBA from a top tier school or marketing program is preferred

Knowledge/Skills :
-3-4 years Media sales, media platforms, account management, airline industry preferred
-Sales strategy preferred
-Sales performance management preferred

Experience :
5 years goal and performance-driven sales and marketing experience preferred
2-3 years business development and account management preferred
2-3 years media preferred
2-3 years campaign development preferred
B2B experience preferred
