Media Sales Planner

The Sales Planner (SP) in the Multinational team plays a key role, as the primary initiator of media plans for the Account Executives in conjunction with performing standard Sales Planning duties.

The media plans are complex in nature as they are high value and may be active across 20+ markets using non-standard inventory. The SP must be knowledgeable on rates and inventory across the markets and know where to find and manage this complex data.

The Multinational Sales Planner is also subject matter expert on all internal tools and booking systems, and holds all information on available products across the world wide Advertising properties of our Client.

This is primarily an internal facing role where the main customers are both the account teams and internal local market contacts relating to inventory and pricing. In some occasions, the Sales Planner will be asked to engage with clients to support Account Executives in validating briefs.

In addition, the Sales Planner is tasked to develop and nurture strong relationship with monetisation leads across the globe to insure easy of doing business for the team. It includes defining engagement models and processes to fit the “Multinational exception”.

A strong engagement with the Multinational Business Analyst is also required to help give visibility on bookings as well as any campaign movements that might impact the revenue.

Success in this role relies on the highest accuracy in data handling, coupled with well-developed and systematic problem solving skills. It is essential to achieve 100% accuracy between media plans and order bookings. A deep understanding of our Client's Advertising products and processes as well as the ability to qualify complex data are essential for effective performance in this role. The ability to develop and nurture reliable relationship with internal stakeholders is vital.

Team/Department Mission
To work in partnership with leading international advertisers and agencies to develop and deliver engaging multinational digital solutions - using assets, properties & expertise to connect with consumers and address business challenges across multiple markets.

Key Results
1. Development of Media Plans
• Obtain brief from AE and write Media Plans in standard excel template. This may include complex campaigns across 20+ markets
• Liaise with local market pricing and inventory teams across the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions (including communication of seasonal discounts/ special offers).
• Daily communication with Account Teams to understand their commitments and urgencies related to specific campaigns to provide the team with the best service and support.
• Provide training and education for new and existing AEs and AMs on process, policy, compliance and other available MSA resources including internal tool training.
2. Order Management & Sales Process
• Manage and conduct all implementation aspects for all multinational accounts including client and order setup, pricing and inventory reservations across 64 global markets
• Interpret and manage all executed advertising Insertion Orders including client and order set up in ad serving tool
• Submission and coordination with Credit department for SAP ID and credit status updates
• Act as the primary owner of client set-up, liaising with both the account team and finance teams
• Drive reduction of campaign and billing issues through accurate order entry and policy compliance
• Review each product / tool launch and/or migration and provide feedback on its impact to the Account Team and customer
• Identify manual/ inefficient processes and work with the team to develop efficiencies/ improve workflow
3. Relationship Management
• Develop and nurture relationship with business key stake holders within monetisation & local markets
• Think outside the box to help improve information workflow with the Multinational Sales team and Business Management
• Be customer focus when engaging with media agencies.
4. Personal & Professional Development
• Keep up to date with all Sales Order Management policy and process requirements
• Create a personal development plan with manager to continuously evolve personal and professional capability in line with business needs
• Seek feedback from a variety of sources to improve performance and develop capability
Key Success Criteria
• Aim for two business days turnaround times in the development of media plans – contingent to workload and AE’s providing necessary briefing information
• Comply with all local market booking policies and procedures
• Ensure order bookings and media plans are identical and customer ready - strive for 100% accuracy
• Active contribution to Account Team meetings
• Be the on-point person for local market advertising possibilities. Provide accurate information on pricing and inventory availability across markets
• Be to point of contact for monetisation
• Submit enhancement requests for future tool releases
