Media Planner/Buyer

We have a client that is looking for a Media Planner/Buyer to join their team. You must be self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Media Planner/Buyer is responsible for campaign management of media efforts for assigned accounts and is expected to have a solid understanding of the client’s overall business and marketing objectives. A successful candidate is able to weave together a full breadth of media channels including both digital and traditional media.
Intelligence, quantitative acumen and efficiency are important elements of success in this position. The Media Planner/Buyer should have a strong attention to detail, comfort with statistics, a professional demeanor and quick adaptability to changing needs of client/department/agency all with a good sense of camaraderie and humor. This role reports to the Group Media Director.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the planning and implementation of a wide variety of client campaigns and media types
• Develop strategic media plans to implement television, print, online display ads, pre-roll video, and social campaign efforts
• Work with Group Media Director to make digital media recommendations and supply substantiated backup information to justify those recommendations
• Responsibility of planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing digital marketing activities
• Manage the daily budgets and day-to-day media activities including digital campaign management
• Troubleshoot and coordinate with digital ops team, production managers and project managers to ensure trafficking and creative material deadlines are met
• Find and report on key performance indicators and opportunities for improvement on a regular basis
• Ensure a good working relationship with account teams, analytics and digital ops team to facilitate flawless execution of plans
• Serve as day-to-day contact for and foster relationships with major search vendors
• Keep abreast of industry trends through advertising and media trade journals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in Marketing/Advertising concentration
• Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in an advertising agency or similar setting
• Experience with Google Analytics preferred
• Experience working with Sizmek or other relevant 3rd party adservers in ad trafficking, and campaign reporting
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking capabilities
• Strict attention to detail, deadlines, and accuracy
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Experience partnering with client services & support, marketing, operations, finance, creative, and other functional teams as appropriate
• Mature and professional business acumen in personal and written communications
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office & Excel
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations
