Media Planner

My client require a Media Planner to manage the implementation planning duties from within the Business team. You will works closely with CBM and AD, to ensure that the planning product delivered to clients is superior quality and best in class. You will be directly responsible for a planning Co-ordinator and will be expected to evolve your media skills in the role, gaining important on the job experience including exposure to proprietary and industry planning tools.

Responsibilities include;
 Maintain great working relationships across your client portfolio
 Ensure that clients are informed on general media industry topics which may affect their business
 Attend brand planning workshops, client presentations and any other client meetings that require presence from the agency
 Support the day to day planning across a portfolio of given clients, with guidance from CBM/AD/GBD
 Stay aware of clients’ competitor activities & deliver insights for clients
 Work with CBM/AD to prepare concise plans that bring a communications strategy to life
 Play an active role in ensuring that unique and ground-breaking ideas are generated
 Learn and use effective planning techniques to drive innovation
 Collect/process data for regular client competitive reports
 Participate in regular WIPs to maximise knowledge of client’s business
 Provide administrative support as required
 Develop excellent media relationships that benefit the client
 Attend NGen specific courses/training where required

Requirements;
 Minimum 2 years industry experience, most recently in a similar position or 12+ months in a Co-ordinator role
 Understanding of Australian media
 Moderate understanding of each media channel
 Effective communication skills
 Problem solving & critical thinking skills
 Good presentation skills
 Sound business acumen
 Self motivated
 Proactive
 Innovation and creativity
