Media Operations Manager

At its core, marketing at this top tech company starts with the user and ends with technology, bringing both together in unconventional ways. On the media operations team you ensure that the Media Lab is able to execute flawlessly on media ambitions - all while ensuring day-to-day activities continue to run smoothly and that we are able to track all of our media activities and manage our media agency in a fast paced "always on" environment. You will need to think creatively to solve for problems that inevitably will come up and also be able to thrive in ambiguity while also maintaining a good understanding of how our day to day activity may impact the company at a larger level.

Your people skills and understanding of our business will enable you to work successfully with internal (Legal, Finance, Compliance, Product, Engineering) and external (media agencies, publishers) partners to ensure Media Lab operations run effectively and safely. You are detail-oriented and operationally-minded self starter and a wizard and spotting inefficiencies. You will need to be a thinker in addition to a doer and won’t settle to do things “just the way they have done” but to know when to change process to ensure optimum impact. Ideally you have working experience of the marketing ecosystem and advertising technology. Bonus if you possess technical knowledge that could help in management of backend database systems and data feeds (e.g., SQL).

Responsibilities:
BA/BS Required in relevant field (Marketing, Advertising, etc)
Work with our North America Operations team and also coordinate with the global Media team to ensure we are operating at maximum efficiency
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Business Development, Legal, PR, and Compliance to ensure our strategic efforts and priorities are aligned within our marketing efforts
Engage and lead our media agencies to ensure their day-to-day work is flawless and help them go beyond quick fixes to long term forward thinking solutions
Keep track of all Media Lab projects across disciplines to identify opportunities where we can bridge them together to leverage the best of our work
Manage media PO and Media Authorization Form approval process to ensure compliance with media plan targets
Insight, foresight! Being aware of small issues and identifying how seemingly disparate events may in fact be contributing to larger systemic inefficiencies.

Minimum Requirements:
5+ years experience in Marketing operational roles, advertising/media agencies and technical knowledge a plus
Knowledge and understanding of standard online and offline marketing, advertising terms, concepts and brand communication in digital media
Understanding of conventional media planning and execution tactics that occur in an agency + client environment
Strong attention to detail required - non negotiable
Strong people skills and high level of written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams and ability to organize and prioritize.
Ability to deliver work output with accuracy and timeliness with limited guidance from manager.

Preferred Requirements:
Deep knowledge of Google advertising offerings and advertising tech
Proficiency with Excel and experience in managing data tables and merging different sets of data to come up with relational understanding of data.
Experience using SQL to extract information from large sets of data and conducting analyses that surface new and actionable insights.
