Designs, Develops and maintains multiple project assets. Designs according to company brand guidelines. Develops fresh designs to extend the brand. Analyzes work they have developed as well as work developed by others, and evaluates the application of the project strategy and company brand. Work directly with project managers, clients and vendors as well as regional marketing management team to create and submit design work. Reviews designs to ensure that formatting of text and graphics conform to established guidelines for consistency, technical construction and overall presentation. Manages projects from concept to completion with minimal direction. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
A level of mentorship to designers is expected with the opportunity of advancement to a supervisory role. Responsibilities may also include managing one or more designers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A thorough knowledge of graphic design as normally obtained by the completion of a Bachelors degree in the field of graphic design or related field required. Five to eight years experience in the field, or in related area preferred. Strong understanding of the principles of visual and graphic design, including how these are impacted by page layout, typography, color and icon selections. A thorough understanding of web- and print-based technologies and design. Including HTML, page layout and advertising campaigns. This includes the general understanding of software programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on a Mac-based platform. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above. Must possess the ability to communicate well with others and to perform work in a team environment. Ability to multi-tasks and manages various projects and timelines.
