Our client, a fortune 500 cloud computing company is looking for a Media Analyst!

Objectives of Position

The Media Analyst will support the Demand Generation team through detailed reporting and data analysis on campaign performance, impact of spend, conversions and ongoing trends to help to inform media spend investment decisions.
This role requires understanding of the metrics used to measure digital & traditional advertising, lead generation and lead nurturing programs. The candidate will need to have top-tier analytical and problem-solving skills and a collaborative partnering style in addition to strong verbal communications and experience with executive presentations. The Media Analyst will be an integral part of the team responsible for the successful growth and profitability of our media efforts. It will be essential to produce and deliver a high volume of reports and analysis while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. This position reports to the Director, Media.

Job Description
• Proactive reporting & analytics of paid media campaigns and lead nurturing programs
• Troubleshoot & QA of Marketing data w/ Ops & BI
• Evaluate impact of media investment on demand capture channels (Website, Search + Mobile)
• Develop media dashboards to provide weekly insight into channel performance for both ecommerce & Corporate
• Improve media budget / spend tracking systems
• Work with agencies to improve the way they integrate data to provide a more holistic view of performance metrics
• Proactively alert Demand Generation team on major spikes/troughs in business activity or conversions
• Run weekly reports for ad agencies
• Compile quarter end performance wrap ups
• Evaluate quarterly demand generation goals with Marketing Ops
• Help define all metrics & KPI’s used to measure impact of media investment
• Build reports in Excel with pivot tables, lookups and macros
• Other projects as assigned


Skills & Attributes
• Understanding of the interdependence of paid media channels and their impact on search, social media and direct website visits
• Understanding of direct response metrics and reporting
• Passionate about the effects of media and advertising
• B2B/lead funnel knowledge and experience
• Outstanding analytical skills – complete ease with excel & pivot tables and SQL
• Exceptional presentation skills including proven ability to communicate with all levels of management and external partners.
• Experience with predictive modeling
• “Excel Power User” knowledge: pivot tables, lookups, macros
• Experience in and knowledge of CRM data and reporting tools such as Salesforce.com and Marketo
• Experience with SAAS business models
• Current with emerging media & technologies
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• High degree of creativity, self-motivation, and drive
• Experience with DFA, Atlas, or similar Ad Servers
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, one that requires "hands-on" involvement with data retrieval and analysis


Experience Requirements
• 3-5 years experience managing, organizing, and presenting various levels of analytics data; establishing key metrics and KPI’s; and developing and delivering both regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards.
• BS or BA required
• Previous experience with Google Analytics and Unica/Netinsights
• Previous experience with Salesforce.com, Marketo or Eloqua a plus
