As a Research Solutions Associate, the candidate will be primarily responsible for the technical setup, launch, and ongoing configuration of proprietary customer satisfaction tracking studies utilizing a 3rd party software platform.

Job Description

The Research Solutions Associate will utilize Medallia, a customer experience SaaS (Software as a Service) platform, to program surveys and configure online reporting sites.

The Role

The Research Solutions Associate will collaborate with J.D. Power research leads and clients to ensure surveys are designed to collect customer feedback that answer clients’ business questions and that reporting sites are configured to drive actionable insights in real-time to our clients. The Research Solutions Associate will have interest in market research and providing transformative customer experience management solutions to the automotive and hotel industries. The Research Solutions Associate is a quick learner that will embrace technology to solve problems.


  • Functional/Technical
    • Programming of sample processing specifications
    • Programming of data collection specifications (survey content and logic)
    • Programming of data processing specifications
    • Configuration of web reporting requirements
    • Proficiency in quality assurance of client deliverables (i.e. survey, online and offline reports)
  • Project Management
    • Create and revise project documentation and implementation schedules with limited supervision
    • Coordinate multiple project tasks simultaneously with limited supervision
    • Escalate appropriate/critical issues to supervisor/manager
  • Client Service and Business Development
    • Support efforts to position client as a trusted adviser
    • Support proposal development and occasional on-site demonstrations of the solution
    • Develop knowledge of the automotive and hotel business needs from a customer experience management standpoint
  • Business Management
    • Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs
    • Advise Research Lead about issues/opportunities affecting the project budget
  • People Management
    • Establish professional working relationships within the department and with other departments and clients where appropriate
    • Manage vendors to provide products and services on time and on budget (with supervision)
    • Manage one's own professional and career development
    • Work with other team members and across teams to meet deadlines on particular projects or parts of projects
    • Support and promote the company's Code of Business Ethics, Company Values, and Leadership Attributes


  • Education and Experience: 4-year bachelor’s degree, 1-2 years of experience working with software implementations or in market research
  • Excel experience required
  • Background in Computer Science a plus
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, and HTML a plus
