Marketing/Technical Copywriter (part-time)

This is a part time 4- 5 month assignment. Will be about 24 hours a week with some off-site options as well.

The Brand/Technical Copywriter for this medical company will perform activities to develop and manage written communications for print and electronic media for a wide variety of audiences in support of our corporate brands, proprietary product brands and individual products. Audiences include internal and external audiences ranging from field sales, internal management, customers, and trade press.


The Brand/Technical Marketing Copywriter is responsible for the following:
• Write and develop content for various pieces of collateral and product literature, including product spec sheets, sell sheets, manuals, and brochures
• Write product descriptions for utilization in online and print catalog listings
• Craft product release materials, such as product bulletins, press releases
• Create and maintain materials for online product catalog
• Interact with internal intersections to help create and develop messaging and marketing strategies
• Must maintain a good attendance record
• Must be able to multi-task and basic project management skills


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, English, Communications, Journalism or related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a writer in either an agency or corporate communications environment is required.
• The ability to write for multiple audiences, from highly clinical and technical to laypeople is key to success in this position.
• Strong proficiency in proofreading, composition, tonality, and project management.
• Experience in writing for highly regulated products is preferred, but is not necessary.

• Experience with Microsoft Office (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), presentations (PowerPoint), contact and customer management software.


Excellent grammar, verbal, and writing skills.
• High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• Ability to move ideas from concept to finished material.
• The candidate must also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Good reasoning and problem solving abilities are important. Resourceful, proactive, well organized, dependable, creative, efficient, and extremely detailed oriented.
• Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive. Candidate must be proficient with multiple and complex software applications.


Interacts with all levels of management, vendors, customers, and company employees.
