Marketing/Sample Coordinator

The purpose of this position is to provide support in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives through administrative functions and to act as a project manager for the Marketing team as a whole. Sample Management in particular is key to this role.

• Manage end-to-end global marketing sample process – increasing efficiency and profitability
• Order, Receive, Organize, Store, Track samples and ensure sample needs are met across the globe
• Understand sample timelines (e.g. order dates, shoot dates)
• Facilitate missing sample needs with Merch & Design
• Communicate all necessary product information to global team
• On-set sample coordination & support
• Ensure product accuracy on final shot list
• Develop strong understanding of product
• Build trust and respect with cross functional partners
• Partner with shipping, facilities, and other key functions who work with samples
• Contract temps and ensure appropriate staffing for milestone support
• Ad hoc needs: photo shoot support, milestone support, etc.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years product experience (apparel and retail)
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word & Excel & PPT)
• Bachelor's Degree (5+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)

• Marketing experience preferred

• Time management skills are essential – there are often multiple, critical conflicting meetings. Need to determine how to prioritize and navigate effectively to meet all timelines
• Clear communication- need to motivate and direct a large range of personalities
• Creative and quick thinking- often dealing with problems and issues. Need to react quickly and authoritatively to drive results and meet expectations.
• Follow through- need to be thorough and detail oriented. Agreements are made in various ways via email or during meetings with all levels of management, which have direct consequences on the work. Packaging is heavily reliant on the smallest level of details with ID codes and artwork.
