Marketing Writer/Content

In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing compelling and engaging marketing content for the company's professional segment, which provides comprehensive, integrated software and services for professional accountants. You’ll be responsible for creating and editing content for internal or external use that conforms to the preferred style guide and best practices for print, email, and web.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Writes strategic B2B marketing content that complies with internal best practices, the client's brand guidelines, and current marketing standards.
- Writes effectively for both print and digital marketing platforms, including collateral, advertisements, case studies, customer stories, white papers, email, web copy, blogs, social media, PowerPoint presentations, and a variety of other marketing communications.
- Writes effectively for SEO and SEM.
- Brings innovation and freshness to our marketing execution and stays on top of trends in the marketing profession.
- Edits and revises content based on internal or external feedback and has the ability to take criticism in stride.
- Works on large, complex projects that require collaboration with subject matter experts to glean important details about audience, objectives, and messaging.
- Works closely with our Information Operations team to define and segment audiences appropriately.
- Uses our internal tools to effectively manage projects from start to finish.
- Focuses on solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Participates in project planning sessions with team members and key stakeholders.
- Works cooperatively in a team environment.
- Meets intense and changing deadlines, manages multiple projects, and balances shifting priorities.
- Works under limited supervision, taking ownership of assignments and any issues within own area of knowledge.
- Regularly communicates and shares knowledge, including communication of work status using our project management system.
- Recommends solutions to quality and/or efficiency challenges.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional marketing writing experience, preferably in a B2B environment
- Experience writing content for multiple formats and channels
- BS required (with a focus in Marketing Communications, Journalism, or similar field)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent understanding of customer needs
- Superb problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and conflicting priorities
- Creative concept creation ability a big plus
- Basic presentation skills a plus
- Knowledge of the principles that contribute to effective marketing copywriting for print and web (including SEO and SEM)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Basic Adobe InDesign and Mac OS skills
- Effective project management skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task well in a fast-paced environment
