Marketing Writer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our healthcare client is seeking a marketing writer to support the rebranding efforts and creation of a large-scale website and a library of collateral. The marketing writer’s primary responsibility will be writing marketing copy and web content that supports the rebranding effort. The content needs will be for the company’s patient-facing audience, though there is room to write for other audiences when needed. This individual will report to the director of branding, within marketing, and work closely with business partners on the marketing/communications team to develop promotional and short-form marketing copy. He/She will also cross-check corrections on creative for all projects in review.


Key Responsibilities
• Write short-form and promotional content for the kidney care patient audience, as well as content for other audiences as needed
• Cross-check corrections on all creative for marketing projects
• Work with other writers, designers and project managers to help fulfill a project’s copy requirements
• Ability to adopt the voice of our client and stay on-brand for all writing projects
• Seamlessly transition writing across various channels (from print materials to digital pieces) and across different audiences (from patients to physicians to hospitals, etc.)

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of two (5) years’ experience in marketing writing
• Demonstrated understanding of how to communicate with target audiences to engage and activate calls to action required
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in print and online writing required
• Demonstrated understanding of editorial process and experience working with writers, designers and project managers to execute effective communications required
• Knowledge of AP Style required
• Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative and relationship-building skills to interact positively with fellow teammates
• Approachability and openness to feedback
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
• Experience with content management system
• Experience with social media preferred
• Familiarity with HTML preferred
• Familiarity with Global English preferred

A self-starter who possesses strong copywriting skills, attention to detail and a knack for creative thinking will succeed in this position. If you have a strong work ethic, vision and high standards, enjoy fast-paced work environments and possess the ability to produce exceptionally compelling marketing content, we want to hear from you. Experience with healthcare content strategy is a major plus, but not necessary.
