Our large financial investment client located in downtown Boston is looking for a Marketing Web Analyst to join their SEO team as a long-term consultant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right experience, to join a highly functioning marketing team and bring their web analytics knowledge to the table to help meet key business goals for stakeholders. Pay is highly competitive for the right candidate.

The Marketing Web Analyst is a lead member of the SEO marketing team, actively engaging with the full spectrum of online customer and marketplace data to assess marketing effectiveness, produce actionable insights, and provide high-level decision support for the CMO and Marketing’s business partners. The right candidate will have at least FIVE years of proven web analytics experience.


1. Technical Understanding

• Proven experience and knowledge with leading web analytics platforms, preferably Google Analytics but would also consider Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, Site Catalyst, or Webtrends. Candidate must be able to provide details on previous projects and results.

• Possess solid knowledge and skills with cloud-based (Software as a Service) principles and day-to- day operation.

• Possess solid knowledge and skills with principles of applied marketing analytics, including customer segmentation, A/B testing, conversion funnels, and statistical targeting optimization models.

• Possess solid knowledge and skills with principles of website design and development, including the ability to identify opportunities for improvement in site design, layout and navigation; site content placement and merchandising; and marketing activities designed to drive conversion behavior.

• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application.

2. Project Management & Leadership

• Participate in project meetings and help set direction for initiatives.
• Identify marketing analytics requirements and author project deliverables.
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
• Resolve and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Represent voice of measurement & optimization in the Campaign design & refinement cycle.
Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
• Advocate best practices approach for analyzing customer behavior including gathering and analyzing online & offline data.

4. Stakeholder Interaction

• Present concepts and proposals to stakeholders via formal and informal presentations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions, including cost/benefit tradeoffs between competing approaches.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase stakeholder satisfaction and deepen working relationships.


1. 5+ years proven experience developing and applying attribution analytics to cross channel digital data – typically covering Search, Mobile, Social, Display, Video.
2. Previous experience within a large organization with high volume of web traffic.
2. Strong understanding of Internet Marketing key metrics.
3. Hands-on experience with online and offline marketing data: Consumer transaction, ESP data, Google Analytics
4. An ongoing desire to go beyond project-specific work, be creative, and bring new ideas to the table to improve overall data management, analytics process, and outputs.
5. Written documentation and presentation skills
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities under tight deadlines. 7. Ability to identify and implement new processes based on changing environment.
