Marketing Technologist

Our pharmaceutical client is seeking a Marketing Technologist to assist the digital center of excellence team on contract to hire basis. The core responsibility of this role is to function as the bridge between digital marketing and engineering, and to enable the activation and effective ongoing optimization of marketing technology programs.

The ideal candidate is able to provide deep insights and support the set-up and on-going activation of advanced digital marketing efforts for enterprise level digital engagements where the platform needs to be optimized for personalization, advanced analytics, data driven campaign activation and creating nurture campaigns connected to clients channel activation alongside usage of specific platform features to drive results.

The role includes the ability to provide strategic support for feature activation, mapping strategy to implementation, and supporting the engineering team during implementation and configuration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Based on goals, evaluate and provide requirements and solutions for activating and optimizing marketing technologies with particular focus on CMS (esp. Ektron), Adobe Test & Target, Adobe Search & Promote, Tag Management (esp. Tealium) and other Marketing Technologies.
• Develop, execute and deliver all technology projects especially regular CMS development and maintenance with help of a dedicated team.
• Lead and manage a team of external vendor team.
• Partner with Digital Strategists, UX Strategists, Channel Strategists (SEO, Media, Email, etc), and Engineering resources to enable strategy, configuration, management, and optimization of campaigns
• Own and maintain all tag management activities.
• Own and manage all marketing technology integrations.
• Act as liaise between marketing and Technology

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide training on enterprise technology platforms as needed with some potential client on-site efforts
• Drive the ongoing development of marketing technology activation processes, documentation, and internal best practices
• Perform other related duties as require and assigned by management

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong experience in .Net, HTML, AJAX, Databases, XML, CSS etc.
• Implementing, operating, and optimizing CMS especially Ektron.
• Experience with Tag Management applications like Tealium, Google Tag Manager.
• Strong understanding of databases like Oracle or MS SQL.
• Some experience with configuring and troubleshooting server installation e.g. IIS, CMS Server.
• Work alongside various strategy and development resources.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Skilled in business process workflow design, documentation, and technical implementation
• Intellectually curious with a passion for personal development, learning, and teaching
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solver who exercises sound judgment in complex situations.
• Ably provides strategic guidance and counsel to stakeholders in the assessment and development of existing and/or proposed processes and systems
• Self-motivated and proactive; works effectively with limited oversight and direction; attentive to detail; organized; ably manages resources, constituencies, projects of varying size, and multiple and competing priorities and deadlines
• Superior commitment to servicing others with empathy, timeliness, accuracy, thoroughness, and professionalism.



NICE TO HAVE
• Marketo, SalesForce, Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Cloud and other Marketing Automation tool experience is a plus
• Good understanding of technologies in big data space.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, servers etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience working with marketing technologies including but not limited to CMS, marketing analytics.
• Prior experience with Digital platforms (eCommerce, Marketing, Mobile, Social).
• Should have lead a team of at least 5 development resources.
