Marketing Strategist

Are you looking to make a difference to the bottom line of an organization by developing strategic marketing plans that will drive growth? This is a terrific contract-to-hire opportunity for someone with varied and vast experience in digital and traditional marketing channels.

In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with others to develop the strategies and go-to-market tactics of this large B2B focused technology company with a wide variety of markets, solutions, and products. You will work closely with leaders in other parts of the organization to synthesize their experience and goals into marketing plans that will drive growth.

You will:

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop short and long term strategies to accelerate growth
- Plan campaigns and communications that align with larger corporate strategies, goals, and activities
- Apply a strong understanding and appreciation for marketing acquisition and retention vehicles to develop holistic, 360-degree plans that will succeed
- Utilize analytics to focus efforts on where the largest opportunities lie, develop measurable goals, and optimize performance
- Identify relevant opportunities for new markets and solutions
- Solicit and request research to augment or validate existing knowledge about our customers, markets, and solutions as needed


You should have:

- A deep understanding of marketing tactics, capabilities, and trends, particularly in the digital space
- Strategic experience across multiple digital channels including email, social, analytics, SEO, web etc.
- Experience developing a long term growth strategy and executeing a plan with key milestones to get there
- Experience with using marketing data (e.g., CRM data, response data, digital analytics, etc.) tools to drive continuous improvement
- Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated persuasiveness and the ability to uphold and defend recommendations
- Experience collaborating with marketing team to develop winnable, executable campaigns
- Ability to prioritize and then re-prioritize and execute in an always-changing, fast-paced environment
- Solid experience with typical office and marketing computing skills (e.g., MS Office, analytics tools, conducting online research, etc.,)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field, MBA is a bonus
- Several years' experience in marketing/campaign planning, CRM strategy and execution, or digital marketing. (B2B experience a plus)
- Ability to build credibility rapidly – both as a trusted partner and as a knowledge source.
