Marketing Strategist in Atlanta, GA (will convert to permanent position in 3-6 mos)

Large media company seeks a dynamic, highly motivated Marketing Strategist to support the Digital Solutions B2B sales team. This person will be responsible for developing all internal and external sales materials, as well as assessing the strategic objectives of clients and creating customized proposals to meet their needs. Successful candidates should have extensive knowledge of digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media, banners, mobile, etc.) and proven ability to translate product knowledge into compelling sales and marketing messages. The Marketing Strategist will play an important role in company-wide business development and revenue generation activities.

Responsibilities

• Write high-impact, customer oriented and persuasive copy for use in a variety of marketing and sales materials.
• Clearly communicate company's value proposition across our suite of digital products.
• Partner with sales team to understand client objectives.
• Monitor competitive landscape and product positioning.
• Develop category specific and audience specific presentations, collateral, sell sheets and case studies.
• Manage RFP process, crafting customized responses and package quotes.
• Support sales initiatives that appeal to current and prospective clients.
• Drive routine reviews and refinements to all existing product collateral.
• Develop and maintain sales training materials.
• Help promote annual sales contests and incentive programs and communicate monthly team stats.
• Manage webinars, event planning and execution.
• Ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner and are of the highest quality.
• Contribute to ongoing quality and efficiency improvements.
• Support other marketing initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (copywriting experience a plus).
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or sales support role.
• Strategic thinker with strong presentation development skills.
• Ability to translate high level/vague concepts into meaningful content and useful sales tools.
• Effective time management and organizational skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done.
• Superior teamwork skills and ability to work across functional teams.
• Graphic design and light HTML coding skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
