Marketing Specialist/Events

Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Marketing Events Specialist for a 3–month assignment at their San Bruno, CA location.

The ideal candidate also has the experience to coordinate online marketing programs and has a proven record in developing and implementing event-driven marketing concepts. Project management, analytics and organization skills a must.

Candidate should thrive under pressure, be open to travel (15-25%), and have a passion for designing and executing premium experiences for clients.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Help conceptualize and produce marketing programs for large advertisers
2. Assist with event strategy & logistics including development of audience.
3. Measure and analyze programs for effectiveness; conduct post-event reporting and ROI analysis.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare resources and make them easily accessible to enable non-US markets to accelerate program implementations worldwide.
- Interact with vendors, partners, company executives and a wide range of functional groups within client organization.
- Proactive cross functional communication and relationship building.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, and or relevant field
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization and marketing analytical work, working with data to identify trends and make recommendations in corporate setting
- 3+ years of experience with advanced Excel knowledge. Need to know how to do quantitative modeling, use vlookup, pivot tables, run queries and have superb understanding of spreadsheets. Must be strongly proficient with spreadsheet software, data visualization, YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, SQL
- Fully knowledgeable of Google docs, Drive, and all Google web based programs
- Experience with information architecture or user experience design
- Exceptional budget management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage to deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and comfortable with ambiguity and last minute changes.
- Must be willing to travel (likely 2-4 trips/year) and work flexible hours

Nice to have's:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar event coordinator role.
- Experience in measurement/ marketing analytics
- Skilled at critical thinking and problem-solving
- Must be self-motivated, articulate, and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to participate on interdepartmental teams.
- Motivated ‘can-do’ attitude, and results-oriented
